POSTAL REGULATIONS

Note: Only the standard sized postcard is eligible for postcard rates.
Regulations vary in every city, county, & state. If you are planning on mailing your postcard, make sure your backside layout complies with current regulations. The Post Office requires a 5/8" clearance on the botton right side.
The Post Office will print a bar code for postal scanning in this area. If there is text in this area, the Post Office will afix a white label that will cover up any type. Try to avoid this space entirely when designing your mailer.

Return Address
The Post Office will scan your card from bottom to top and read the first five digits (usually the zip code). Your return address should be higher than the address labels. Doing this will eliminate the risk of having all your mailed postcards rejected or returned.
