Tiff and Photoshop EPS files (RASTER images)

•
Color or Grayscale files should be 300 to 400 dpi (dots-per-inch).

•
Bitmap (solid color) images can be used if you don't want any of the image to screen (turn into dots), and should be very high resolution (900 to 1200 dpi). Be aware that bitmap images will not have any 'undercolor' (rich black) to prevent dust specs from appearing in the printed piece.

•
All color images should be converted to CMYK color mode. If asked, you can select SWOP Sheetfed Coated as the profile.

•
Layers must be flattened.

•
Do not use Alpha Channels.

•
Vector data (such as type) must be rasterized.

•
Save raster files as .TIF (TIFF) with LZW compression. Optionally you can save raster files as Photoshop EPS using Maximum quality JPG (JPEG) compression. Do not save as .JPG format, as .JPG files do not contain dimensional information for page layout programs.

•
FYI: If you choose to save files with JPEG compression, JPEG artifacts may occur thus reducing print quality.
